Totally Gutted was born from a dream and nourished with passion and determination. Just like most worthwhile endeavors in life, there were ups and downs, but in the end it all came together. On October 26, 2019 Totally Gutted opened its doors to an absolutely wonderful reception from neighbors, visitors, and old friends and new. Our fermented goodies received more praise than we could have hoped for and our hearts warmed, we were in business! 

Totally Gutted offers customers a selection of hand-crafted foods and beverages created with not only health and nutrition in mind, but also the preservation of the planet. We source our produce locally, use quality ingredients, and do our best to use only certified organic wherever possible. Furthermore, we endeavor to ensure our packaging is as planet friendly as possible. We choose to use glass hermetically sealable containers for our fermented foods which are re-usable and recyclable. When a customer purchases one of our glass containers they enter into a refill or exchange system in which they can bring the container back in exchange for another filled with fermented goodies, or simply have their jar refilled.

At Totally Gutted we believe that proper education and routine are crucial to make lifestyle changes that help us help ourselves. This is why we also offer all the tools necessary for our customers to pursue their own interests in fermentation. Whether you’ve made a purchase with us or not we do our best to offer advice, answer questions and to help coach fermenting enthusiasts along their way.

I moved to Mallorca in November 2018 to fulfill my dream of combining my two passions in life, food and nutritional sciences. But let’s take a step back. Totally Gutted was not developed overnight, it took me years to decide on how I wanted to pursue these interests and how I wanted them to translate into a future career. But believe me when I tell you, when it hit me, it hit me like a bolt of lightning and I couldn’t wait to get started on my passion project! The time and energy I dedicated to learning the craft of raw vegan cuisine and studying holistic nutrition was something I knew I could build on, and that is just what I did. I wanted to create a space where people could find foods, real living foods, that help them heal and care for their bodies. I wanted to help people consume more consciously, but not just through what they ate. I wanted to focus on reducing packaging waste, which I believe is a major global issue. These two approaches fueled the development of Totally Gutted’s core business model and they will continue to be the primary focuses as Totally Gutted grows and evolves.
